Hello, I’m Chopper! I might seem a little shy at first, but once I trust you, I am a loyal, cuddling shadow. I am a year-old German Shepard with a heart full of love and a gentle spirit.

Life can be overwhelming for me, especially with loud noises or fast movements. I’m looking for a home that feels like a quiet, cozy sanctuary—no chickens, cats or and livestock, please, as their energy makes me nervous.

Once I know I’m safe, I love to snuggle, follow you around, and curl up in the quietest spot in the house. I am potty trained, crate trained, and a master at learning new commands.

I need a patient, compassionate adopter who will use positive reinforcement to help me build confidence. I’ll need a slow, gentle introduction to new people and environments. I require at least a secure 6 foot fence and I cannot be left unattended in the yard for even a minute as I am a very smart boy that is a master at escaping any fenced enclosure. I need lots of exercise to keep me from getting bored and finding my own fun, I do get along with other dogs and greatly enjoy my playtime with them. A predictable routine will help me feel secure, I would do best with another confident dog to help me overcome some of my fears.
