Male Kelpie mix puppy

Mom (Ginger) is a purebred Kelpie. Dad is unknown.

Mom and the litter were dumped in the desert in southern Idaho. We took them in when the puppies were about 5 weeks old. The puppies are playful but not too energetic. They are very social with people from school aged kids to adults. They’ve done well with the other dogs in the home.

They are making good progress with potty training. Their pads stay pretty much dry all day and they go straight to the grass when let out.

Basil is the most confident male of the litter and tends to boss his siblings around. When alone, he’s independent but also loves a good cuddle session. He does well in a crate by himself and is processing well with potty training. He’s extremely food motivated, so will be an easy pup to train!
